A beautiful coastline drive to La Perouse you will make your way out to Ahihi reserve and visit some of the most recent lava activity on Maui. This was quite some time ago and no flowing lava but you can view where it made its path back many years ago. The road gets A little rough at the end but nothing too bad. When you reach the memorial the road ends and you can walk a bit further but have reached your turn around point. No way to Hana here, been asked a few times out there. This monument is a nice reminder of the island's diverse cultural history. Definitely stop on the way to gander at a piece of the past.
