What a sight to see! Maku'u Point will not disappoint with your efforts to view this tranquil spot. Take a stroll through the jungle, shorelines, and sunrise bliss 🌅. Arrive a little early to watch the sunrise. Depending on the visitors, it might take a moment to find a good parking spot. There are spots near the shore to enjoy seating on the community benches. If you have trash, take care of it, there is a trash can near the entrance. Folks enjoy fishing in this area. Sometimes they leave fishing line on the rocks, not cool! We like to take a stroll to help keep the natural beauty clean. Keep that Aloha spirit alive and enjoy those special moments of Hawaiian beauty.

Take Ala heiau road not the other one google will tell you to take. This is a neat area for photos of the ocean and waves crashing behind you type of photos and it’s peaceful BUT beware not for swimming. Some locals fish here. I wouldn’t recommend going here alone just as some guys come here to drink and relax at the end of a workday. Friends of ours live in the neighborhood and they come here with dinner and walk to the right to the more flat areas and eat dinner. Never tried sunrise but I think it would be amazing since you get a east to north east view. Would not recommend for toddlers.

This is a beautiful place to visit. When you get there, you just park on the side of the road and walk out on the cliffs. You can see a beautiful sunrise in the morning and watch the waves crash against the cliffs. This is not a swimable beach. There are a couple safe(ish) tidal pools that you can wade in, but unless you know exactly where they are I strongly recommend not getting in the water.

You can go sit on a park bench and read or just simply watch the wide open ocean. I was there one day and saw a blue whale come completely out of the water. It was one of the most amazing sights...
