Our visit to Rising Kona Coffee Farm was an unforgettable highlight of our trip, and that’s all thanks to Bryce! From the moment we arrived, Bryce’s warmth, enthusiasm, and deep knowledge of the Kona coffee-making process made us feel instantly welcomed and engaged.

He guided us through every step of the coffee-growing journey—from seed to cup—with passion and authenticity. His storytelling brought the history of the land and the family-owned farm to life, and he had a way of making every detail feel personal and meaningful. You can tell this isn’t just a job for him—it’s a labor of love.

The tasting experience was incredible, and Bryce’s recommendations were spot-on. We left with a new appreciation for what truly high-quality coffee tastes like—and several bags to take home! It’s rare to meet someone so genuinely invested in both their craft and the people they share it with.

We fell upon this tour because we had a few extra hours between arrival at the airport and check in to our hotel.

I would recommend signing up 12-24 hours in advance- this is still a small, intimate operation, so if able you can give them a heads up! We received a private tour with the owner of the property- how often does that happen? Exceptionally knowledgeable, he walked us through where coffee beans come from and how they go from plant to cup.

Recommend visiting during “Kona Snow”- Feb/March timeframe when the coffee trees bloom!

We walked around their property- they even have some peppercorn trees. Very cool! Sej took some incredible photos of us and sent them over for our own memories. What a fun, charismatic team, ready to show the world their coffee farm! We have already recommended this tour to friends and family. Go today! Our visit to Rising Kona Coffee Farm was one of the highlights of our trip to the Big Island! Booking was quick and easy, just a short distance from downtown Kona up a stunning hill that apparently hosts a beautiful mansion. Sage, our guide, was amazing in answering all our questions. She described not only the history of the farm, and not only how to grow the beans but how the flavors form and which has the most caffeine! For the first time, I throughly enjoyed black coffee - no creamer! She noted that the coffee community on Kona actively supports each other. I hope she is able to sell other Kona made products in their shop soon. Amazing views, great photo ops, easy access to see the trees. Loved being followed by Cookie the cat!
