A good viewpoint looking over the main Kฤซlauea crater. A good reminder about the power of nature, even when there isnโt an eruption as there is usually steam rising from the ground. When there is an eruption, Iโd imagine that this would be a prime place to view it.
@Kyro Chickering are you seriously giving this place one star because you didnโt do any research beforehand and assumed that there would be an active eruption on the day of your visit? It looks like your lack of research also led you to think that the entirety of the park is to the west of the visitor center, so you missed Thurston Lava tube, Kฤซlauea Iki crater, and the entire Chain of Craters drive.
