Find Butternut Creek bridge, listen to water while sitting in multiple areas on bench swings and enjoy shady trails near the water powered grismill. Swimming, tennis, skate park, baseball, picnics, family reunions, festivals. Tons of parking. We have loved this place since we visited the dog park, with wetland area to see so many water wildlife in their natural habitat. Frisbee golf are with 18 golf baskets. Dog park also has large shady tree growth. Well groomed paths for beginner enthusiasts. Fenced park area for dogs to be unleashed. Bathroom facilities with soap. Plus covered pavilion for rental.    Read moreMeeks Park is a beautiful spot to spend the day. There are a couple of nice walking trails and lots of nature to see. The kids playgrounds are awesome and pretty large compared to some others I have seen. The creek running through park is gorgeous. It's big enough to play in but calm enough it doesn't sweep my toddler down stream.
Most importantly there is plenty of shade to rest under. Too many parks now are clearing out every single tree and it's just too hot. Georgia was founded on shade country and summer breezes.
The only shortfall is this is a non-dog friendly park. I understand not wanting to let dogs run off leash but on leash this park is just too pretty to not bring the four legged...
   Read moreI love going here its so serene its like going on vacation its beautiful the guys are very friendly that work there they help out with whatever you need or ask the park is very well kept its my favorite place to go to get rid of some adrenaline and get away excellent place to go to work out especially during the fall the leaves are gorgeous I cant say enough the lay out of the park is perfect swings etc. great place to take the kids lots to do even a pool tennis courts etc. thank you so much for having this beautiful park and allowing me to come to come visit so far its the best park I have been to in my adult years thank you appreciate all of you keep up the good work...
