If you’re someone considering this gym, do give this review a Read. Hygienic gym. Sort of Reasonable prices if you know you’d stay committed. Trainers at the gym are sometimes approachable, well honestly I didn’t have any problem. Cons BIGGGGEST: it’s utterly complicated to cancel membership with them. If you read other people that have given them a star you’d see all of them have 1 issue in common that is CANCELLATION OF MEMBERSHIP. Once you’ve enrolled, you’re TRAPPED. Let me explain it. I had to go back to India due to personal reason n also my grandfather wasn’t well. I tried earlier to cancel my personal trainer and membership, but they told me just to pause it and I won’t get charged for anything. When I called today 9/4/2024 they informed me that the membership was canceled not the personal trainer when in fact I did inform my trainer prior that I can’t continue the sessions because I’m been stuck with things. But still, I’m pretty satisfied with my personal trainer. He was really cooperative and understanding. But, what’s so off is that when they signed me up for the gym they told me you have to make it to the 1st 3 months sessions and then it’s upto you to go further with the PT or not. I don’t understand if I’m not taking those sessions why should I pay $40 per 30 minutes. You can have a fee for cancelling it abruptly but no you charge people for 30 mins without them attending $40. I’m very angry let’s be honest. The manager in charge that day told me repeatedly that it was my fault and that I knew I was moving to India so I should have canceled it sooner. I am sorry my grandfather wasn’t well and I did not know in advance. This fitness center made me feel so stupid and unwelcome when I wanted to cancel. This is no customer service when a customer isn’t going to make it to the sessions why should they pay for 4 weeks $40 each. I would recommend you to please be mindful with everything before signing up because they wouldn’t brief you well and make you accountable for everything. Also, be a little nice as you cancel someone’s membership just as nice you were...
Read moreI've had mixed experiences with this gym. I initially appreciated the facilities and felt the membership was a good value. However, my experience with their personal training (PT) program was very disappointing due to poor communication and customer service from management.
I signed up for a trial PT session but sustained an injury before I could attend. I immediately informed the gym I needed to reschedule and would contact them when I was ready. Despite this, they automatically scheduled an additional session without my consent. I had to call again to request they stop scheduling until I reached out.
Later, I discovered I had been charged $40 per session for four sessions, totaling $160, despite never attending any. When I requested a refund, the manager refused. He argued that because I hadn't explicitly said "cancel" (even though I had said to stop scheduling), the charges were valid.
The manager's attempt to justify the charges by comparing the PT program to a Netflix subscription was illogical. Subscriptions are for ongoing access, while PT sessions require active participation. Charging someone unable to use the service due to injury, without confirmation or a check-in, is unreasonable.
While I have no issues with the gym's general facilities or staff, the PT program's management, lack of transparency, and poor customer service were unacceptable. It's unfair to be charged for services I couldn't use and didn't agree to continue. I strongly recommend anyone considering personal training here to meticulously review any contract and be wary of their unclear and rigid...
Read moreI'm a new member. When I purchased my membership an appointment with a trainer was setup to introduce me to the gym and to get a body composition assessment. On the day that I visited with my trainer he was too busy talking about how he has clients that are losing 10-20 pounds weekly when following his plan. Well as great as that sounds I've been on this planet long enough to know that this is not that healthy and is not good long term. During our trip around the gym he took me into the class room and wanted to show me exercises I could do at home. Well some exercises I couldn't do because I have arthritis. This revelation through him off course so he was done showing me exercises and proceeded to take me back to the front to discuss how many sessions I should buy with him. I told him I'd think about it. 2 weeks later my son has had the same visit with a trainer. My son's trainer did a complete assessment which included a history of illnesses, pains or injury. Asked about current ailments. He then took my son around the gym and introduced him to the different machines. He then told my son he'd like to train him but needed to get his mothers permission first. I think the gym is great but the trainers are not consistent and they should be. I don't care if you have a client losing 10-20 pounds a week and please don't tell me this to lure me in. I've been back to exercise maybe a few times. My son meets with his trainer 2x a week and loves it. We've seen great progress and he's gone down 2 pants sizes. I'd love to give more stars but I didn't have the greatest...
