Jump N Play — Attraction in Hayward

I should have known from the first call that I should not have booked my daughter’s birthday party here. I have never done a party at a jump n play kind of place before and needless to say this entire experience has left such a bad impression that I never want to do one again. There was never a manager available for us to speak to. No one communicated properly. The lack of communication is like nothing I have ever seen before. I’ve been in the customer service industry for my entire life and have never seen a business that was ran so poorly. I have never felt inclined to write a bad review but this place really ruined everything for me. When I first called to book my daughter’s birthday the phone rang and went to voicemail like it was a personal cell phone. If you are going to run a legitimate business then I would suggest having a real business line with a real voicemail box set up. I left one message, no call back, two messages, no call back. I left an email in the inquiry box on their website, no response. Finally on my third voicemail they called me back. I asked to book the date that I wanted to they said “sure but let me call you back”. Whoever I was speaking with didn’t know how to reserve the room and date. They called me back and told me I needed to put down my credit card information for the 50% deposit but, they said they would call me back because they didn’t know how to take my card info. Then they called me back and sent me a link. I went through the steps with them on the phone. It took 20 minutes to do this. It was such a waste of time. As a business owner you need to figure out a better solution to taking payment over the phone. Come week of the party I get a call wanting to confirm my party. I confirm it. They call me back a couple days later and asked to confirm again. I confirmed it. Then they called me yet AGAIN on the actual day of the party to yet again confirm my reservation. The lack of communication was clear. As a business owner you should really work on communication with your staff. We get to the jump n play the day of our reservation and they told me they needed the same card I booked the reservation with to finish charging us for the other 50% of the party. They also told me that there was an email sent to me that said I would need that card. No email like that was ever sent to me. They lied to me to make it look like it was my fault. To have your employees lie to the customer is pathetic. That card unfortunately was closed because we had fraud on the card so there was no way to present the card. The staff made my husband leave his own daughters birthday party to go get cash. There are so many ways in this day and age to be able to accept multiple credit cards. As a business owner you need talk to the bank about a solution. Their business specialist will be happy to help you out with that. While my husband drove around in the pouring rain missing his daughters birthday party the staff continued to harass me for the money. They threatened to not allow any of my guests in until they had their money. Like they were pimps bullying their employees. They came in to ask me for the money three separate times within 30 minutes. Finally my husband came back after missing half his daughters birthday and gave the staff the FULL AMOUNT for the party. Not just the 50% that was needed. They said they would refund the 50% deposit which ultimately did end up coming back to us after almost a week. All in all I will never be giving another dime to this place. It’s sad because my daughter enjoyed going there but after this experience of unprofessionalism I never want to step foot there again. I hope the owner reads this review and figures our how to make the proper adjustments. I never want to see a business fail but if this is how they run their business then I don’t see how...

We hosted our daughter’s 3rd birthday party here and this place was exceptional. Many guests gave us compliments saying that this was one of the best birthday events they had ever attended and that their kids had lot of fun. You know you have booked the right place when your guests say they will also plan their kid’s birthday here.

There are many things that that are unique about this place: This place is truly a fun place for kids of all ages. Their games and rides are innovative, much better than competitors like Kidtopia. We had kids of age 3-4 and older kids of age 6-9, and all enjoyed a lot. The staff is exceptionally helpful, caring and professional. Pearl and her team assisted us throughout the event. The entire team was involved in helping setup the decoration, serving pizza, cake cutting, cleanup etc. They ensured the place was clean, and were always very cheerful. They took photos of the event for us and were always willing to help. This truly exceeded my expectations. We were offered a photographer as a part of the party package we had booked (a private event)- who did an incredible job. He not only captured all the key moments perfectly but also voluntarily setup a photo booth where all the guests could take photos. The photographer entertained all requests patiently, until the last guest, all this while with a smile on his face and suggesting some great poses. The guests loved this! While our guests got some amazing pictures with their families, we enjoyed seeing our daughter’s pictures with her daycare friends - all beautifully captured. This place offers the option to book the entire hall and also allows outside food - which enhanced the experience. Our guests were pleasantly surprised. Very few places give such options. Many of the guests plan to celebrate their birthday events here as well.

Very unpleasant experience at the indoor playground in Hayward "Jump N Play"

Today I took my children to the Jump N Play playground expecting to have a fun and safe day. However, our experience was the complete opposite. I drove over 60 miles to get to the park hoping it would be worth it.

At first, everything seemed normal and the children were having fun on the rides. However, as we were playing, after a while, I noticed a group of people entering who clearly smelled like marijuana. The smell was very strong and obvious, and I found it unacceptable that the park staff allowed them to enter knowing that it is a place designed for small children.

I felt very uncomfortable and worried about the health of my children, as the smell was extremely strong and I did not want them to inhale those fumes. I found it irresponsible and negligent of the park not to take measures to prevent the presence of illegal substances in a place where children should feel safe and protected.

Also, the games and equipment seemed old and in poor condition.

I do not recommend this park to any family looking for a safe and enjoyable place for their children. I hope the park takes steps to improve the safety and maintenance...
