Beautiful park. The grounds are well maintained with breathtaking views from Berkeley to Union City. It can get breezy real quick if you stay to watch the sunset, which I recommend. Just park outside the gates if you do. Rangers come through every day at dusk. Its quiet during the week, however, depending on the crowd, weekends can be rough. Often times music from private parties is too loud and inappropriate for kids. . Rangers are always kind but inky come through once a day. This is the primary reason I Ray this four, instead of five, stars. A stronger police ore's nice on weekends would solve the noise and if the police were consistent I bet it would reduce the rowdy crowd in a shirt amount of time. My other reasons for withholding a fifth star is, while I appreciate they have restrooms, they are in need of serious maintenence and so is the drinking fountain. Other that, highly recommend. The best park in Hayward as far as I know. It doesn't beat out Castro valley community center park on lake...
Read moreI just attended a family function here last Saturday. The weather was really beautiful and warm. No bugs or flies swarming around us. We danced and partied together. No park drama from anyone. It's a big lush green park full of sun blocking trees to keep you cool. We laid on s blanket as well to eat no problems of insects. If it was I didnt see or notice any. It's also a kids playground, basketball courts, parking lot, and SUN!! Overall we had a great time. Go enjoy the park. Bring a blanket and take a load off. Enjoy the weather, eat and be merry. By the way this was my first time going there. We drove from SF no problems with traffic and Google maps. I will definitely go back again. There's also street parking too. Look on Google to see pictures of the park and bookmark the search. This will help you get a better idea of what the park looks like. And what it has to offer for your outing. Go see the world with its...
Read moreHad our family reunion there since our regular place was unavailable. There were plenty of swings for both babies and older kids, slides and sand. There was a rec center. There was an event happening inside while we were outside. Trees shaded the picnic tables, however only one grill so we had to bring another one. There was limited parking and people had to walk, including the people who attended the event inside. There were rest rooms and water fountains. We have never been there and it worked well for our event. We may have another event there...
