Comstock Wines — Attraction in Healdsburg

What an awesome vineyard! This vineyard was not on our plan for the day, and I am so glad we spontaneously stopped in - Comstock ended up being one of our favorites on our trip. The wines were absolutely fantastic! The Zinfandel and Merlot were incredibly unique. I ended up buying a bottle of the Zinfandel! The setting is gorgeous - the backyard space is the visual I have in mind when I think of wine country. I can't remember the gentleman's name who helped us (younger guy; tall; dark hair), but he was very knowledgeable about the wines. My boyfriend and I will most definitely recommend this vineyard to friends traveling to the area - and we can't wait to come back. I am even thinking of joining the wine...

We had best intentions to go to Sonomo to support local business after a tough few months due to the Covid pandemic and decided on this vineyard after their website explicitly said they were kid friendly and children welcome! We made a booking and were excited for our first meal out in months. When we arrived we were greeted by a snobby rude host who said that children were actually not welcome and that they could not go ahead with our booking! So disappointed!

Although we cannot review the service nor the food as we did not get the opportunity but if you have children avoid this place like a plague!

Used to like this place. Nice set up and location. Wine is average for the area, which is to say it's great. But last visit they wouldn't allow my family to wine taste. No one under 21 was allowed on their property. We walked in (4 people tasting, 4 under 21) with only 2 other people there, and we were asked to leave..... We joined 4 wine clubs that trip. But NOT Comstock! Hopefully Comstock will upset enough customers that they will change their policy, or fail. We look forward to returning once...
