Papapietro Perry Winery — Attraction in Healdsburg

Shelly did a wonderful job walking us through our wine tasting. We were seated in a comfortable grouping of sofa and chairs on the patio. There was a view of grapevines. We ordered charcuterie along with our wine tasting. There was plenty of meat, cheese, nuts, olives, and dried fruit for the 3 of us. Shelly talked to us about where the grapes were sources for each bottle of wine. Showed us a map explaining the different microclimates. Shelly was very knowledgeable. The wine was all good. Had an amazing time tasting here! Ariana was absolutely fantastic! She told us the history of the winery and how it started in a garage in San Francisco! She was so knowledgeable and made some excellent suggestions. I really loved their 2018 Leras Pinot Noir and wanted to purchase a bottle, but I had to leave to make it to another winery that was strict on arrival times. Renee Perry was lovely! We visited the tasting room 17 years ago and decided to try it again. It was very disappointing in how much the tasting cost in comparison to many others in the area. They don't refund the tasting fee with the purchase of a bottle of wine like most other wineries. They also only pour the wines on the tasting list, where most others are so much more generous. To top it off they overcharged us and charged gratuity without asking on a group of 4. I would recommend about 20 other wineries in a 5 minute radius before I would recommend visiting here.
