Cornelius Falls is also home to Bridal Veil Falls. You can carefully explore the area above Cornelius by walking dow. The steps and turning right. There you'll see 2 small falls and they have these black shale slopes that are calming to hear and nice in black and white photos. The paths down to view Cornelius are steep, but there are 2 options. Steep and then switchback style. Its slick either way, so be careful. And then getting to Bridal Veil is either a walk downhill around the back of the park or along the streambed walking away from Cornelius then taking a left at the 1st stream merge and walking up to Bridal Veil. There is a down tree so be mindful and we took to it's right. And there is just a nice and calm place to sit and enjoy the fall amongst rocks and boulders. I absolutely love waterfalls so to think I had driven past numerous time without knowing how beautiful this area is kinda made me sad.
It is a brief walk to the viewing area of the falls but the more adventurous folks can walk down to the pool area beneath the falls. The even braver folks can walk behind the falls to get a surreal view of the water falling from over head. But PLEASE BE CAREFUL!! The rocks are very, very slippery.
