Apple House & Owenby Orchards — Attraction in Hendersonville

As of 19 August they are open and stocked with great stuff not found in grocery stores and at very good prices. The folks could not be nicer. Very helpful and accommodating. Apples of course are the main thing and Owenby’s apples are fresh, juicy, and delicious. Apples just off the trees cannot be beaten. Go there and enjoy nature’s bounty as it is meant to be. Their website says that they are open, but that is incorrect. I stopped by there today to buy some jam, and they were closed. The gentleman who happened to be there said that it will re-open mid summer. I'm giving them 2 stars simply because they need to communicate with their web people better. I drove out of my way to go there, only to find out that their website had given me wrong information. I will try them again...

There's fancier looking apple stands in Edneyville that certainly attract the tourists. But this place is the real deal, prices are a bit lower here than elsewhere and you never have to wait in line or fight over parking. Owenby has candycrisp apples.
