Bennett Park — Attraction in Hibbing

Bennett Park is a nice park, but....my grandchildren and I are park-hoppers and we've seen a lot of cool and fun playgrounds!! I would love to see Bennett Park add a "zipline", such as the one at a park in Cloquet. Another nice addition would be what we found in a small park in Fergus Falls: stationary, heavy duty, exercise machines (for waiting adults?). I enjoyed those. The Bennett Park skateboard park is just plain dull. I've seen a lot of talented teens there who, I'm guessing, would agree. It would be nice if there were some upgrades that added a little more challenge. Lastly, there needs to be more seating for adults AND more positioned in the shade. If Bennett Park expanded their playground experience, I would rate this city...

Bennett Park is a nice place to spend some time, however the City of Hibbing has failed to keep it up ie, the grass is not kept up regularly, garbage left all over the ground, broken glass, etc. what garbage cans they do have are hardly emptied. It use to be the place for huge gatherings at the pavilion. If the city could clean it up and keep it up Bennett Park could have stuff going on in the summer for kids...

The park itself is a nice park but the playground area is set up for children I would say 6 yrs. and above. There is a slide children under 5 can go up and slide down on but that's about it for the toddlers. That part I found it be a little disappointing.
