Oak Hollow Marina remains an enjoyable place, particularly in the morning when it tends to be quieter. During the warmer months, you will of course find more folks using the facility, which sadly means more trash left behind by thoughtless, self-centered, poor in spirit individuals who treat nature like their own personal dumping ground. Also on the rise are the number of people who show up to smoke marijuana and then drive while high. Disgraceful. Occasionally you'll find people drinking there, too, despite that not being allowed. The playground is nice for the kids, there are a few tables that people fishing dont use that have very nice views for dates/picknicks. I've caught quite a few decent fish from this spot on the lake, other than carp, nothing has been over 7lbs for me (catfish) the hybrid bass are awesome to sport fish here, they have to be over 16inches to keep wich is rare from the marina but as long as you use chicken liver, know how to cut and hook it, you will catch some for sure during...
Read moreWonderful place. I just wish there was a fence around the lake near the playground. it is sooo close and some of the younger children (siblings) don't know not to fall into the water. It would help keep piece of mind for parents while children play. It's not ideal to run after/prevent disasters. The playground equipment is up to date and their is a new floating pier. It is a nice place to fish for ... fun with kids. Not a true fisher mans honey hole. The fish are fed from feeders. You can rent out sale boats. There are a lot of fearless/friendly ducks.
