A place to awaken your inner child. My boyfriend and I haven't been pumpkin picking since we were children so we decided to take my 3 year old nephew. Great news, children up 36 or 38' have free admission. Admission includes the Corn Maze, a hayride to visit the animals and lastly the pumpkin patch. Any child or adult over the height limit has to pay 11$ . (This was on a Tuesday so I'm not sure about weekend prices)
The Corn maze was pretty fun. There are two mazes. One is for smaller children and is made of hay also the parents can see over the hay incase their little critters speed off. The corn maze sits on 5 acres of land so there are a lot of trails and dead ends (but super fun). Don't go off the path, it's one of the cornmandments. Get it? Cornmandmemnts. hehe
The tractor then picks up and takes you over to the farm to visit the animals for a while. & on this farm there was a pig and sheep and cattle and llama and chicken and such. oink oink. & the animals were super cute and cuddly with the children even eating right out of our hands. After is your trip across the road to the pumpkin patch. A LARGE pumpkin patch. We didn't even walk the entire patch. Sadly the pumpkins toward to front of the patch kinda looked like someone trampled over them. *sadface
Lastly, your finale stop is back at the entrance where you have the fresh produce market and shop. They have everything from peppers to eggs and apple cider vinegar, different jams/spreads, bacon flavored ketchup, ornaments for decorating, tomatoes, more pumpkins anf gourds. All reasonably priced. We purchased a 1/2 of apple cide vinegar and that didn't even make it the full car ride home, pepper that we used for Taco Tuesday and pumpkin butter that we'll be using on our pancakes in the morning.
The bonus, The staff! Each person friendlier and happier and more welcoming than the last. From the moment we stepped foot onto the farm it was a genuine happiness for us to be there. Thanks for making our day...
Read moreLooks like FAKE 5 star reviews, pay attention to them. An old woman selling tickets CHARGED our 21 month old son saying if a kid of 2 years old WALKS they charge tickets! I really need to find a kid who does NOT walk till 2 years !!! There are MANY farms those do not charge even till 5 years of kids. On the Top of that she was REALLY Nasty, She Yelled when I asked her name she Refused to give me her name as I was saying this Rule I have Never heard anywhere. She was screaming, could not believe. Another old woman sitting next to her was also giving us nasty looks. Not only this farm is Not at all Beautiful, Small, Dirty, Not Scenic its ppl r nasty and Greedy. There's so much dust in parking lot and everywhere- even inside the produce market, playing area, pumpkin patch, corn maze etc etc, its a Dirty untidy place. I dont wanna use the word Ugly but this farm is "The Only" one that is not beautiful, None of its areas r beautiful- from entrance, selling market to ANY area. No wonder they have to pay to advertise abt themselves so much looks like as whenever you google only they show up or Highlight. We only used to go to them as they were closest to us but after this incident we searched others n OMG, others were SOO Beautiful, Vast, great decoration, Scenic, Beautiful antiqued Market and what not and CHEAP $2 per person and kids free, here they Charge you $12- $4 !! for what??! There's dust on produce there's TONS of dust on you , in your Hair and on your Baby when you go back home. They dont wanna spend money on putting Gravels like other farmers do. Thank God this incident MADE us search Incredibly Beautifully made, Scenic, clean, Big, and Cheap...
Read moreAnyone looking to make a fun holiday tradition look no further. My husband and I drove an hour to Norz Hill Farm to ride their Christmas Light Hayride. We have a 10 month old daughter, and we felt she would enjoy/see the lights via a hayride versus a car-ride light show.
We weren't expecting much, but we were blown away by how personalized, fun and intimate the experience was. The hayride a simple - but fantastic time. With lights, music, a dance party and meeting Santa! A little gift waited for us; a Norz Hill Farm cup with her name written on it! (Because Santa knows all, right?) Afterward, we were brought to make a special ornament which included a ribbon of my daughters height. We stopped and had some hot cocoa after, sat by the large fire and took some photos. We also even got to go into the goat pen to meet some goats up close and personal! We briefly had the pleasure of speaking to the owners and it's clearly visible how much love they put into their holiday show for each family and person who walks on their property.
As the "kick off" to my daughter's first Christmas, I could not be more thrilled. She may not of had a clue what was going on, but it was so magical for me to watch how much they cared that even at 10 months she enjoyed her evening. Every staff member on site is friendly and wonderful. Truly a pleasure to talk to.
I highly highly recommend if you are looking for a personalized, friendly, small town holiday fun evening to make your way to Norz Hills Farms. We will be making this an annual staple in our holiday traditions from here on out!...
