A New Night Market With Over 50 Vendors Is Coming To The Sunset District This Weekend

I recently tried Jollof Kitchen and ordered the jollof rice, chicken, and plantain. The jollof rice had a strong smoky flavor, which wasn’t quite to my taste. The chicken was just okay — nothing special. The plantain, however, was my favorite part of the meal — perfectly cooked and delicious. I did feel the portion sizes were a bit off; there was a lot of rice but only one piece of chicken, which felt unbalanced. Overall, it wasn’t my favorite experience, but the plantain stood out in a good way.

Jollof Kichen is my to go truck at every festival! Not too long ago at the Autumn festival at Lake Merrit, several dishes were ordered including the yummy whole fish. I enjoy all her dishes ranging from the Jollof rice and goat meat, chicken, fish, fried plantains, moi moi, egusi and pounded yam, seafood gumbo and a host of dishes! I really appreciate the affordability and especially the quality, this truck stop never fails!

I had an incredible experience working with Jollof Kitchen for a recent corporate event catering to 300 guests. They provided both vegetarian and non-vegetarian options, and from start to finish, their team was responsive, flexible, and a true pleasure to work with.

From planning the menu to coordinating logistics, Jollof Kitchen was attentive and accommodating. They arrived on time and went above and beyond by assisting with food service, offering pre-packaged meals to guests as they arrived. They also provided cambros to keep the food warm throughout the event—an unexpected but deeply appreciated touch of professionalism and care.

The portion sizes were great, and the feedback from attendees has been overwhelmingly positive. I’m especially grateful to have worked with Kemi and her amazing team—Victor, Kaswing, and Bayo—who brought warmth and excellence to every part of the experience.

I highly recommend Jollof Kitchen for your catering needs—or even just to stop by their food truck for a...

Hello to you all and thank you for reading my review. Today is July 28, 2025. Also my first time trying Jollof Kitchen Food Truck. My order was taken from a friendly guy who was behind the counter named Victor. I ordered the Jollof Rice with Fish and Plantain. And boy was it good, the Rice, the Fish and the Plantain was delicious and was worth every penny. My goal is to try everything on their menu. The only downside I can think of in my foodie experience with Jollof Kitchen Food truck is having to wait until they are serving in my part of town again. If you get a chance to check them out please do so. You will enjoy the food. I certainly did. Thank you Victor and Kimmie. (From your new customer Will....remember I called you on the phone to tell you how much i enjoyed my food experience. I was the one who said that eventhough the food was delicious, I didnt want to eat it because then it would be all gone). P.s. i would show a picture but i ate most of my...

If you’re craving bold West African flavors that hit the soul, Jollof Kitchen is an absolute gem. From the moment you step in, the aroma of slow-cooked spices and smoky tomato stew draws you in like a warm hug. Their signature jollof rice is perfectly seasoned—fluffy with just the right kick of heat—and pairs beautifully with their juicy grilled chicken and tender fried plantains.

The goat pepper soup is rich, flavorful, and comforting, with meat that melts off the bone. Portions are generous, and the food is clearly made with love and authenticity. Whether you’re new to Nigerian cuisine or a longtime fan, Jollof Kitchen delivers a culinary experience that’s both nostalgic and unforgettable.

The service is friendly and welcoming, and the vibe is casual but full of heart. Highly recommended for anyone who wants to explore real African...
