This place was really cool. We stumbled on it while on a bike ride and I'm glad we did. The kids enjoyed the walk around and seeing the old fort walls. I really enjoyed the history and just learning about the place. I had never heard of it before but am super glad we found it. We did however get locked in. We were the only ones there and the sign said it closed at sun down. When we went to leave the gate was shut. They do take really good care of the maintenance...

Not even sure how they determined it WAS a fort. 😂🤣😁 At least there was no charge for admission and the trees were nice. It's really more of a historical site though, not what I'd pictured as a...
