Nice place to visit if you love cats. They don't take in colonies of cats but will help trap, neuter, and release them to help slow down the cat population. If you go on there web site all about cats hhi, there's an area where you can donate money or your time. They are always looking for volunteers to help out its a lot of hard work, but it's a good, rewarding experience. They have lots of shelters filled with straw to keep them warm, and they have four cages where they put cages that are being adopted to their forever homes. Out in front is a big metal box that you can put food and treats in. The volunteers pick it up every day. So if you are going to Hilton Head Island to the beach and you love cats, then this is the place for you. Go on Amazon and check out their wish list and buy something for these poor cats it will be greatly appreciated. It's nice knowing these cats have a safe place to go where they can live out the rest of their lives.

I had the pleasure of visiting the cat sanctuary on Hilton Head Island, and I can't say enough good things about it. The love and dedication the staff and volunteers show to these cats is truly heartwarming. It's clear that they work tirelessly to provide a safe, clean, and enriching environment for every feline resident. If you're a cat lover or even just an animal lover in general, this is a must visit spot on the island. It's not only a serene and unique experience, but also a reminder of the incredible impact compassion can have on animals in need. Highly recommended!!

Absolutely beautiful place! Went here with my girlfriend while on vacation and have never smiled more in my life! It’s across the street from Mitchelville Freedom Park. Volunteers are all extremely welcoming and are very passionate about what they’re doing. Check out their website and check out the sanctuary!

This place is wonderful and should be fully supported by HHI residents and tourists alike! I wish we had a sanctuary like this where I live but I am happy to visit and donate each time I am on the island. The cats are truly well cared for and each volunteer is thoroughly invested in their wellness and happiness. They are so lucky to have such kindhearted people in their lives. This organization is 100% funded by donations and everything goes to the cats and the preservation and maintenance of the land as the original owner can no longer fully fund it due to illness. The cats are fully vaccinated and have been spayed or neutered. Their backgrounds are drop-offs, abandoned by their owners, or street cats. Please note that the hours are dictated by when a volunteer can get there to open the gate, so contact them ahead of time. Whether you are looking to adopt or just enjoy some solitude among sweet felines and share some cat treats, this is a special place indeed. Thank you to...
