McAdams Park — Attraction in Hobbs

The campground is very nice and has good accommodations. I would give it 4 stars if it weren't for the camp host. He was very confrontational, disrespectful and his behavior bordered on harassment. Our stay here was less than comfortable and while he is there, I would not recommend this campground. Example: Our first night we had one extra car at our campsite. Not only did the Host wake us up at 0545 to demand that we move it, he was extremely confrontational and disrespectful. He even called the police on us because of our extra car. Our next to last day it was pouring rain so we parked our cars next to the campsite to wait out the weather. The host, again very disrespectfully, made us move our cars while it was still raining heavily. Mind you, in both cases the campground was not full and was not busy in anyway. We were not...

We camped last night at the RV park. It was one of the nicest places we have stayed. We have a 5th wheel & it was an easy in and out. The whole place was well taken care of and very quiet at night. We have 2 dogs and it was perfect with all the space to walk them. We felt very safe and the cabanas were nice for anyone wanting to enjoy a meal outdoors, again very clean. Harry McAdams is a nice park to visit. They have shaded picnic and party areas. They have a play area, volleyball pit, horse shoes, and a disk gold course that is fun to play. The little lake is nice, but only seniors and children can fish in it. There is lots of ducks that love when you bring bread to feed them.
