Very bad experience. The course is very nice dont get me wrong but the way they run things is terrible. 4 of us went to play after paying the $46 for 18 holes we teed off it was somewhat slow so we got a rain check for the back 9. We came back the week after and tried to play our rain check for the 9 they told us since it was after 4 we would have to pay $8 dollars so $54 for 18 holes! She stated it was because after 4 it goes to a twilight fee pay of $31 so we would have to pay the difference from the $23 our recipts were worth and play all you want. Thats all fine but we already paid and i stated we were for sure only going to play our 9 holes since it would be dark before we could play more anyways. They said no so we left thinking ok we can just come back next week and make sure its before 4. One week later we go back at 3:45 try to use our rain check and two of our guys had thrown away the reciepts. We thought it would be fine since it was two weeks ago so they should remember and also when we check in on the first day they take your name, number, and zip code. We show up and she says i cant look it up so you will just have to pay the $23 dollars! She even remebered us so i didnt see the problem. After this 3 week long fiasco we will not be back and nor will anyone from...
Read moreWe made the 1.5 hour drive from Midland, TX to experience this course that I had been hearing so much about. The course was exactly as described. It is a very nice green course within a desert landscape. The course has many obstacles which provide interesting strategical challenges. A local told us not to aim at the pins as the greens are large and he wasn't lying. The greens are huge! However, pin placement was usually on the edge so us amateurs aimed for the pin when we probably should have been shooting for the fat of the green. Oh well. In addition, the staff was great. They were all very friendly. Note to those travelling from TX, time is an hour behind in Hobbs so make sure you schedule your tee time accordingly. We scheduled our time for 9:30 am so we arrived at 9 am TX time, which is only 8 am in Hobbs. Thankfully they were able to squeeze us in at 8:12 am. All in all, it was a wonderful experience and we will be returning...
Read moreDrove up for the day with a group of buddies from Odessa. Clubhouse was very nice, large pro shop with good selection of gear. Driving range and practice facilities were nice, good grass, typical yellow practice balls. Overall the course was fun to play, quite difficult, fast greens with lots of slop and undulation, miss the fairway you had some trouble, waste areas need the most work on the course. The biggest drawback from our experience was the 5 HOURS & 42 MINUTES it took to play the course!!! It took the marshal 13 holes to finally get around to telling the two slow groups in front of us ( who were holding the entire course up). Which by then did no good. I hope they get their pace of play down to something more manageable like four and half hours max. Overall a great tract but with the pace of play myself and my golf group do not have plans on making it back...
