The Holden Beach Pier is a charming and nostalgic spot perfect for anyone seeking a classic coastal experience. Whether you’re an avid angler, a sunset chaser, or simply someone who enjoys the tranquil sounds of waves lapping against the shore, this pier has something for everyone. It offers a great view of the ocean and an excellent spot to relax and take in the beauty of Holden Beach. The small shop nearby is also convenient for grabbing snacks or bait for fishing.
One of the hidden gems of Holden Beach is the opportunity to find sea biscuits along the shore. These unique and delicate sand dollars are often buried just beneath the surface of the sand, waiting to be discovered. For the best chance of spotting them, head out during low tide. The receding waters reveal more of the beach’s treasures, making it the ideal time for shelling enthusiasts to explore.
Low tide also provides a safer and more expansive area for walking, searching for sea life, or even just enjoying the tide pools. It’s a peaceful time to connect with nature and uncover some of the lesser-seen wonders of this beautiful beach.

Overall, it seems like a nice quiet beach with no big hotels and businesses lining the beach front, which was a...
Read moreA nice beach that was close to our hotel. My boyfriend's daughter lives in the area and brought us to this fantastic beach. Yes it has a pier that is not open and you cant walk on it but who cares? I didnt go there for the pier, I wanted a beach that wasn't crowded so I could relax and look for seashells and this was the perfect spot for that. There is no life guard here but I wasn't planning on going out very far so that didnt bother me at all. When we visit again in the future I will definitely be visiting this spot again, no crowds, great view, paid $20 for a day pass to park and found some cool shells and coral...
