Eagle Lake — Attraction in Holden

This needs to become a wild life sanctuary. I ask all who read this post to go in on a joint effort to stop the draining of Eagle Lake. Yes DCR is draining it. We as a community need to put an end to this. Let's get this done. Greed is not a good thing. And ontop of that. There are certain companies that want to build houses on that lake. Let's as a community sign an in person petition to prevent that. With that said. Let's not give them reason to feed...

This lake is a great hidden gem to hike around. Unfortunately, the dam didn't hold up & the town decided against maintaining the eagle lakes integrity, so it's not swimmable and appears very dried up. Like I said though, great hike especially...

Really good and active top water or weedless fishing. Seriously.

There are a LOT of lilly pads and other weeds here so don't use any lures you're not willing to lose.

Also the beach area is a nice little place...
