Alpine Grove Events Centre — Attraction in Hollis

My husband and I got married on 3/19/2020 in a private ceremony just as the COVID-19 lock downs started and our entire planned 5/2/2020 wedding was cancelled because of the crazy year we all experienced. While we were sad 5/2/2020 did not work out we decided to re-plan and celebrate with family once mask mandates were lifted and once we knew we could officially celebrate and see our WHOLE family and all of our friends. We reached out to Alpine Grove and worked with Michelle and Alan to plan our "I DO BBQ" for 70 of our closest family and friends on 6/26/2021. Alpine Grove completely blew us away. We really, truly had the best day of our lives, and could not have been happier with the service that Michelle and her team provided to us. Our guests had such a wonderful day, we played corn hole, mini golf, horse shoe and really just enjoyed the beautiful weather, great drinks, DELICIOUS FOOD and spectacular service from all of the staff. Michelle was so easy to work with and kept everything stress free. The day was beautiful, I really honestly cannot thank Alpine Grove enough for giving us the day we so patiently waited for and it completely blew our expectations away! We plan to come back for future events (Baby showers, anniversary's.... just a party!!). If you are looking to have a day filled with happiness, and love please choose Alpine Grove! We got the pleasure of getting married twice at Alpine Grove. One was a small "Covid Compliant" ceremony so we could get married on the date we wanted, and the full size ceremony was just last weekend. We could not have been happier with everything. The venue was stunning, like something out of a dream. The food was amazing, expertly cooked and well liked by all(even the gluten free dish was amazing from what I was told). The staff was courteous and professional, extremely attentive and have clearly been doing this for awhile. It was blisteringly hot that day but there was always a few staff walking around with ice cold pitchers refilling the water glasses. Everything went without a hitch and we couldn't have asked for a more perfect wedding ceremony. The only thing is i wish i hadn't forgetten about the mini golf course off to the side, that was the perfect activity to end the day with my groomsmen. I honestly wish i could leave more than 5 stars. We will be returning for any function thats too big for our backyards. We look forward to doing...

Update: I changed the 2 stars to 4. The organization that gave us the menu options said nothing about a sauce on the salmon. The list only said herb encrusted salmon. I updated my stars after reading the reply from the venue. The kitchen did make me a meal without the sauce as I stated below. I gave 4 stars instead of 5 since they only offered one dessert that I wasn't able to eat.

Went there for an event. When we bought tickets we had a choice of meals. One was chicken caprese that made me think it had cheese as an ingredient and the other was herb encrusted salmon. Got salmon so I could avoid dairy and it was swimming in a sauce and I mean the entire plate was sitting in sauce. By the time I got a waitress to ask what it was (contained milk) and had the kitchen make me a plate with no sauce on it, everyone else at my table was finished. The dessert was dairy based and the nondairy creamer (said nondairy in big letter) actually said "contains milk" in small print. Beware if you have...
