When my party first approached the building we were puzzled as to where to go. There is no signage and there is nothing that stands out as a place to go for the maitre d'. Luckily, one of the staff members saw we were puzzled and kindly guided us inside.
Inside, we were given the list of wine tasting options. The process seemed disorganized but the offerings and price structure seemed fair. We chose the tasting with cheese. Once we made our decision we were put to work. We were told to carry our wine glasses, cheese (in its retail packaging), cutting board and bottled water to our table. We were given a cheap steak knife to cut our cheese (still in its packaging) and a couple of napkins.
We chose our wines and began the tasting. The wait staff was friendly and gave a brief description of the wines. The white wines were okay. They were excessively sweet but the flavor was good so it was manageable. We then moved onto the reds. As Jessica Lundeen said in her review, nothing was even remotely dry. Their "semi-dry" wines tasted like dessert wines. Every wine had an excessively smokey flavor that muddled the little flavor imparted by the grapes. All of the reds were undrinkable.
The atmosphere wreaked of faux fanciness. The tables and chairs are fake wrought iron with exposed bolts petruding from the back of the chairs. Half of the lights on the trellis were out. There were a lot of bugs outside with no attempt of mitigation. The inside of the building was in disarray. The bathrooms were an abhorrent, very smelly and gross porta potty attached to the building.
I have no idea how this winery is so highly rated. After seeing the owner's incredulous responses to negative feedback I can see why things here are the way they are. Customers don't care how much you spent on bathrooms or how much time you put into something. We want a good product and service and we want to get our money's worth and this place is not...
Read moreWhere do to even start?! Fulchino is THE place to have your wedding. While this venue is not a full-time event hall, the professionalism, attentiveness, and ease of the preparation/ wedding day made us believe it ought to be. The facilities are gorgeous - the patio overlooking the vineyard was the perfect place for the ceremony while two-floor open balcony seating was ideal for the dinner. During the reception the cabanas were a great place for people to relax while the cornholes boards entertained those who weren't too keen on dancing. Oh! And the wine is delicious!!! And incredibly affordable! The service at Fulchino's is truly outstanding. The staff went above and beyond what we could have expected of them for set up, clean up, and tear down. They were incredibly intuitive to the needs of each moment. They even surprised us during the reception by dropping the lights and setting up some fun colored LED lights along the dance floor. One thing I especially appreciated was there was never a sense of needing to leave at a certain time - they really let everyone enjoy and soak in the event. Al - the owner is great to work with as well. He responds quickly to emails and takes notes throughout the meetings leading up to the wedding. It is clear his staff appreciate working for him. One of our guests had been to about 6 weddings in the past year and made it a point to say that this was the best venue he had been to. Hands down - this was the perfect place to start the rest of our lives together. If we did it all over again, we would choose Fulchino...

Do we need to go inside?" He responds that he can seat us. What took so long? You guys saw us and just kept walking by. We then got seated, and menus came after another ten minutes of being seated. They weren't too busy, the people infront of us when we were getting seated got seated immediately and we're served drinks all in the time we were waiting for our menus. A different waiter came out and asked us if we were waiting for anything at our table at which point I told him no one's come by to take our order, he said he be right with us another 10 minutes pass and no one's come by. I'm trying to make eye contact with the wait staff and it looks like as soon as they see me they diverted their eyes. We decided to wait a little longer and eventually we just got up and left. We sat at our table for 34 minutes with no service. I verified this time because I got a text as we were sitting and by the time we left 34 mins had passed. A complete waste of time. Staff seemed to purposefully ignore us. Won't be...
