AMR Skatepark — Attraction in Honolulu

They took the mini half pipe out because it was a liability hazard 😑. There’s also some shoddy patchwork done to the ramps but they have some nice platforms and rails to practice grinds and jumps. Honestly it looks like they built ramps that was meant for indoors and built them outside and thats probably why the mini half pipe got run down faster than it needed to be. The other ramps looks like it will soon be next to go. Hopefully when they re-do the skatepark, it will be planned better to last...

Older children play basketball or ride bikes while the younger ones go on their battery operated cars or scooters. There's slides for the kids to climb and slide down. I see others play tag or hide and seek. I noticed a father playing football with his boys. There are speed bumps to remind drivers to slow down. I see women chatting with one another while others are walking their dogs. It really is a family...

Technically for residents of AMR and their guests. Helmets /pads are required, bikes and scooters are not permitted...but no one is supervising. After school / summer can draw a rougher, older crowd of kids, so parents may want to supervise younger kids. The park has recently been updated so equipment is safe. Fun place...
