First Assembly of God — Attraction in Honolulu

My first time visiting this church I was nicely greeted upon entering. I was escorted and she provided a brief tour highlighting different areas. After that she told that I could sit anywhere other than where the reserved seats were I thanked the woman and went into the church to grab a seat as close as possible to the front. I sat down and the service began, it started with a great worship song by the choir, which was nice. All of a sudden I was interrupted by this woman who was rude and said I had to move because the assistant to the pastor sits in these seats. First of all if they were reserved for the assistant why were they disrespectfully late and why were there no reserved signs noted like all the other seats. Secondly I feel she was rude and should not have a position in the church if she doesn't know how to talk to people. Thirdly I was offended and quite embarrassed that she was dressed like she was going to a night club that showed disrespect to God and the church. After the service I was greeted by a couple of members and they saw what took place and felt the need to apologize which wasn't necessary but I thanked them anyway. If anything she should have had the decency to apologize herself. Being that this was my first time there I am not sure if I will go back. I was instructed that it's my first time I should go to meet the pastors I simply wasn't feeling it and felt uncomfortable during the service and I shouldn't feel uncomfortable in...

I attend church here. Truthfully, something that I have really learned, apart from the spiritual teachings, is, the senior pastor, Pastor Ko, is very real, wise, fair and caring. I heard of other senior pastors who do talk down to people or can be unreasonable at times. Pastor Ko is not that way and that has developed such a camaraderie amongst the staff and leadership team at First Assembly of God - including all the regions. Bible doctrine is solid. The main reason why I visited and then remained was because of First Assembly of God's purpose; not to build a megachurch, but, as its vision statement says...a church with a passion for the Lord and a vision to reach the lost...making disciples of all nations, teaching disciples to be leaders and mentoring members...

It's a God given place where the Annointing of the Lord is. There is Power in the Word of God that is always there to Soften your Heart. God is Every where because Jesus Gave it all for you and me.
