HouseMart Ben Franklin Crafts — Attraction in Honolulu

This isnt a hobby lobby or johanns by any means but this place was awesome! I went in with a idea on my head and scared I would mess it up but with the help of the store associates I felt more than confident I could finish my project. The lady that helped me literally walked me to every area I needed to go to and helped me pick the right things. Never once did she seem concerned with the time as if I was bothering her. She was absolutely amazing! The selection isnt a huge one but for this place to be one of the only craft store in Hawaii I was extremely grateful! That woman made me feel like I could complete the wall decor and mobile as well as a decorative "K" for a baby nursery. All products (minus big gold flower) were purchased at ben Franklin's and so far everything is turning...

This is a very small craft store...I only shop here when I am in a hurry for a lower end product that I suddenly and urgently run out of or need to complete a necessary product; otherwise I suggest 100% ordering off of online. Very small and limited selection of crafting options. They have a good amount of single scrapbook pages, a ton of jewelry making supplies, a decent journaling/stationary section. Extremely high prices with minimal sales...even when a sale is promoted, it's still not worth shopping here as their products and selections are not worth the selective and demanding requirements the sales come with. I'd honestly try Savers and risk having to go here afterwards for anything else than support their outrageous costs and...

All the BF Crafts locations on island seem to have really sweet and helpful ladies excited to help you out. I especially like this location because it has the custom frame shop. I worked with the lead frame designer, Jerry, on about four frame matting designs and he was awesome. If you're wanting to put together a plaque or frame without being overcharged elsewhere, I would recommend you go to Jerry with your frame/inserts, and he'll create the matting within a few days. You can also have him assemble everything for an additional charge, but his prices are really reasonable and he'll do it right and professionally...
