Started on the Manoa Falls trail (parked at the base), then used the Aihualama trail, and connected to Pauoa Flats trail to get up here. This was a great rest/snack spot, wonderful views. There is a lot of mud; we were told the trail never dries out. So, be prepared to have wet/muddy shoes and socks. Not a trail for simple sightseeing/tourism, but not difficult either. I don't recommend youngster who can't walk for a couple of hours, or if you have ankle/knee issues (slipping is likely, and so is climbing over/under debris - on the connecting trails).

We hiked up here from the Moana Falls Trail. It was a decent amount of incline on switchbacks. It's worth the view, but if I were on vacation I would maybe pick a different trail. Got pretty muddy near the top and we both fell a few times. Wasn't anything crazy. Make sure to bring snacks and plenty of water! Good hiking shoes as well. A few areas are a little tricky. Took us maybe an hour and a half to the bench, and like half an hour back down.

Nice hike for those that want a rain forest without a ton of effort. It's relatively flat so even people with achy knees can probably do it. Especially with walking poles. Convenient and close to town. 2 hours is a sufficient amount of time to enjoy this hike.

Great views at the top and there is a bench at the end so you can rest and soak up all of the views, make sure to bring plenty of water and a walking stick if you can or try to grab one on the trail it will help you outwhen you get up to the More steeper part of the trail. I hope this helps you out and...
