this is a nice, quick little hike. be expecting some mud on this trail, and it isn't about getting to the top so take your time on the path. we stood and listened to the breeze in the bamboo section, it was super peaceful and soothing. it was delightful to notice all the different plants that grow at different parts of the path, the ginger flowers were smelling delish on this day. near the upper middle part of the hike, there's a view down to the ocean that is gorgeous. give it a try! not too hard, but it does go up and up.

It's nice to do once, but it's super muddy, overgrown, and there's no views at the top, just a concrete block, although there's some views of diamond head and waikiki along the way. It's only 1 mile and not too steep, aside from some steps at the beginning and end, but it's a nice walk through the bamboo forest and a good hike for the keikis.

This hike was pretty. The drive up was pretty awesome through jungle, but the hike was pretty muddy and the view up top was overgrown and blocked. Still had cool views of the city on the way up. Bamboo was nice too. Wouldn’t do it again. Lots of broken car window glass in the parking lot.

This is the highest trailhead entrance from a public road on Oahu. Good parking area. The views, flowers, bird songs, fruits, trees, plants and connecting trails are the best in Koolau Mountains. Can peak Konahuanui from there if you want to - highest Koolau peak 3000 ft above sea level. Or turn around anytime you think youve gone far enough. If your lucky youll have strawberry guava, white rumped shama symphony, avacadoes and ohia blossoms if you branch to higher trails. Enjoy this mid...

Excellent source for hikers watch the stuff in your car don't leave anything in it that you don't want missing when you get back. Beautiful rainforest abound. Best to know where you're going easy to get lost. Carry plenty of water. Start out early in the morning when it's cool. Don't forget the camera. Respect the land and do not pick or cut vegetation. Stay on the trail do not take cuts due to erosion...
