I went to the Home Depot because I was waiting for my other half to finish with an appointment in the area/I was picking her up. I had an hour to burn so I walked through the aisles. It had been a while since I really took the time to walk around, and I noticed just how new and clean this Home Depot was. I believe that it's not more than a year old and it definitely shows. Also, the staff were super nice and helpful. I didn't happen to get any of their names, so I apologize for that, but they were all really nice.
I didn't go there with the intention of buying anything, but I did end up walking out with a few things lol. First, I noticed that they sold my favorite brand of charcoal, Royal Oak. I was running a little low so I did pick up two bags for the house. Luckily, they don't break the bank and I had room in my car. Second, I was actually planning to go somewhere else to get a microwave, but I noticed that they had decent microwaves on display. I picked an LG one and we are very happy with it. Funny enough, it's a 1000 W microwave, which is 250 less watts than the previous microwave that we had/the one that we were replacing. Read moreI started with a good review based on the timeliness of my order. Check and double check the print off given when ordering any appliances. With all the technology and scanning being done, i am baffled how it still is wrong. I ordered a washer and dryer on monday, paid with scheduled delivery on Thursday. On Wed the delivery called for arrangements to deliver two washing machines. I called the door looking for a quick fix, but oh no. Not available on the island and we have to do a separate order for the mistake. I was told I could get the machine by Saturday and to call back with plug type. All the information was resubmitted and I would be credited back for 2nd machine. I call back on Thursday with the information to a directed extension only to find out no order had been placed for the missing dryer. I was bounced back between extensions several times repeating the same information. I thank the customer service representative named Sheryl for leaving her desk to go find someone between appliances and delivery to straighten out what has now become an unpleasant experience. I am still waiting to find if I have a dryer order or am I waiting...
Read moreMy aunt and mother in Honolulu had a terrible washer / dryer setup experience from Temco, the delivery company that the Home Depot on Mapunapuna contracts with. The deliveryman setup their washer / dryer in an unsafe manner and could have caused a fire per my aunt's repairman that came to inspect the job later (I've attached a photo of the unsafe handling of the washer / dryer electrical cord which has no clamp - having a clamp around the cord prevents fire or electrical shock per my aunt's repairman). The same deliveryman on his way in to my aunt's apartment unit also broke the entire light fixture in the hallway of my aunt's apartment causing broken glass to fall on the ground which he did not try and clean up. My aunt and mom are in their eighties and do not need this kind of stress and this terrible, sloppy and irresponsible job by Temco should result in Home Depot finding a new delivery contractor. I plan on going to the Better Business Bureau as well if Home Depot does not make...
