This used to be one of my favorite spots - came here a handful of times and even spent my birthday here. However, today really changed my opinion. I had told my friend how much I loved this place and had made reservations for us in a week. Checked over the website and read all the emails to make sure there weren’t any major changes due to covid. Their website shows a full menu and even stated that “slices were available everyday” when I made the reservation. We were ahead of schedule so we asked if we could come in early since our reservation wasn’t for a few hours and they said yes. We came in and were told to sit anywhere so we sat in comfy chairs in the corner. A woman came up and said “do you know about our two offerings” and proceeded to tell us that you could only order one type of pizza and they wouldn’t even do just cheese pizza which has always been on their menu. That’s fine, even though that was the reason we came, we would just get drinks. We were sitting for a total of 2 minutes before another woman asked why we were seated at that table and proceeded to ask us why we didn’t want to move even after we explained we didn’t mind the wobbly table and mostly sat there for the comfy chairs. She asked a bunch of unnecessary questions and then eventually took our answer. Their drinks are still good, but the service has gone downhill. I wish they would’ve made it known on their website or emailed customers with a reservation that they had changed their menu to only a $25 and a $45 package option with one specific food offering with no changes. We wouldn’t have driven 2 hours to visit if we knew the experience would’ve...

I wanted to love this place, but I wish the food aspect was a little more clear on the website. All it mentions are that there are tasting options available. So here's what they actually offer: there are only two dining options. The first is $25 for a flight of your chosing (i.e. beer, wine, or cider) and a speciality pizza. The other is $45 for three flights (one each of beer, wine, and cider) with a variety of food options. My dining partner is not a particularly adventurous eater, so he wasn't game for the specialty pizza, which included greens and either apples or pears. But we didn't want three flights each - that's a lot of alcohol for lunchtime, especially considering we had to drive home on country roads afterwards. Unfortunately, you can't order any of the food ala carte, and even though they have cheese and pepperoni pizza outdoors, it's not an option indoors. So we ended up just getting a flight each and no food. Afterwards, we tried to grab a slice of regular pizza outside, but the line was crazy. So we ended up leaving hungry, which was a bummer.

The views were lovely and the drinks were pretty good. But I think if we ever come back to Mt. View, we probably won't bother with Grateful Vineyards unless they start allowing you to order food ala carte or offer the cheese/pepperoni...

After a quick morning hike, we made our way to Grateful Vineyard. The views are gorgeous and almost surreal. In order to get food you have to order drinks. We ended up doing the three drink option, meaning each person gets three drinks (a flight is considered one drink!) and it comes with a salad each and Burrata and pizza to share.

We were starving and didn’t expect much from the salad but it was actually delicious! The Burrata board was so yummy, all the offerings paired perfectly with each other. The pizza was the most underwhelming, it was good but not amazing. We got the mushroom one and it didn’t have enough mushrooms and too much sausage.

Honestly the drinks were not great. The wines were okay and the cider was not my liking. The food and views made up for it but I wouldn’t go out of my way to try the wine

Overall the food and drink sets were great value, we got a lot of drink and a lot of food for the price. We left stuffed beyond comprehension 😆 over indulgence as they call it.

Side note: if you don’t have a reservation and just want to stop by for a drink, they have outdoor seating separate from the reserved porch area. No food can be ordered there but you can bring...

Honestly, I was kinda let down from this place. The view was the best thing about the experience. Their packages for flights are not adjustable and that sucked because I don't care for whites and their wine flight had only one red. It was good though. Another thing that irked me was our waiter pulled up a chair and sat down with us and said "Oh I can tell you guys have a lot of questions so I need to sit down for this". Seriously? Another thing is that if you choose to order food, the whole table has to order the same thing. Their reasoning is "Oh it's to make it easier on our chef". Again, seriously? Isn't your chef paid to cook? If they're struggling that much, it may be worth finding a more competent chef. Overall, the flights weren't worth it, the amount you got for the wine flight was so small for the price. The ciders we're just really not that great and I love a lot of ciders. Honestly it was a sad end to our wonderful weekend.

We had a wonderful experience at Grateful Vineyard this August. What a special place! Tables are safely spaced apart in a large open area outside the main restaurant building. There you are surrounded by a beautiful view of Mt Hood, Orchards, vineyards and a sunflower field. Our server Marge was so personable, making us feel completely at home, and made all the right food and drink suggestions. We tried the flight of locally made summer wines as well as a flight of their own ciders all of which were delicious. We also got their pizza special which included a sharp cheese and sweet-tart cherries. Super unique and delicious. Grateful Vineyards was a major highlight of our travels! It's also fun to visit the nearby Lavender Valley farm.
