What a beautiful place! The view over the rivers is incredible and the grounds are so well taken care of. Grant's headquarters are so cool to see and the Epps house is beautiful. The smoke house and kitchen are amazing. You can learn about the lives of the slaves that lived and worked there. I highly recommend visiting!

Wonderful day for a visit on 5/20/2018. Great place for seeing the river and maybe an Osprey or two. If ever in Hopewell, this is well worth a visit. Thanks to the National Park Service for the awesome upkeep of the history...

City Point had some history that I learned about for thr first time, has the cabin that General Grant used during the Siege of Petersburg campaign. Location in Hopewell, overlooks the James River.

An absolutely beautiful spot that sits high on a bluff overlooking the confluence of the James and Appomattox rivers. There is a short film that can be viewed in the manor house that explains the area's importance throughout history, specifically during the civil war. They grounds are very well maintained and there are some absolutely stunning trees throughout the property. Birdwatching opportunities are everywhere with plenty of bald eagles, osprey, and cormorants as well as lots of smaller species in the woodline along the bluff such as cardinals, brown thrashers, and...

This is a wonderful small park that shows a few aspects of our history. The house is a good starting point for both the tour as well as the wonderful porch that it has. The grounds are will kept and maintained, plus there are several historic houses nearby, that though privately owned are great to view while walking down towards the river. Fishing off the wooden deck at the rivers edge or farther back along the trail are also a couple things you could do here alone or with...

Very historic and beautiful scenery. I haven't rolled through looking for Pokemon but I hear it's decent. Ontop of that the ghost hunting is decent as well. Weird way of putting it but trying to feel or make some sort of contact during the day is pretty hard so, decent. There is a main building hosting a variety of displays about the battlefield and the...
