We just visited the Olympic Peninsula and decided to take the loop road around Lake Quinault and a side trip up Graves Creek. I understand that the area has had some flooding issues, however I cannot believe that the Forest Service has let the roads deteriorate so badly in this area. The Graves Creek road was absolutely horrible for being such a popular road. To say this road has a problem with potholes is an understatement and I can't believe the Forest Service views this as acceptable. I fully intended to mention it at one of the ranger stations however they were all closed, on a weekend, during the summer (hard to believe). The condition of these roads definitely put a damper on our trip...
