Miles of hiking and biking trails, which are used for skiing and snowshoeing in the winter. There is also a sledding hill. Many different trail lengths and ability levels. Dogs are allowed, bags are supplied so you can clean up after yours. The Humane Society is also in the park, so you will often see shelter dogs being walked on the trails. The Nara trails are free to use, but some of them cross over, or are adjacent to, the Michigan Tech trail system. If you use any part of the Michigan Tech trails, you are supposed to purchase a day pass at the self serve station in the parking lot. There is a nice picnic table near the parking lot, and others along the trails. Restrooms, showers, lockers and a fireplace are in the Interpretive Center. Read moreThe Michigan Tech Trails are really great during the winter or the summer. In the summer they provide biking and jogging trails, and in the winter you can bike, cross-country ski or snowshoe. They connect to the Nara nature park, which is a free location managed by the Tech Trails. This part of the trails has a downhill sledding that can be a lot of fun.
