Harris County War Memorial — Attraction in Houston

We frequently visit Bear Creek Park and decided to walk over to the Harris County War Memorial during our last trip. It features a series of markers honoring the sacrifices of Harris County veterans from various conflicts, including WWI, WWII, the Korean and Vietnam Wars, the Gulf War, and Operation Iraqi Freedom. Nice park with plenty of names on the memorials, and a covered pavilion for events. I'm not sure what kind of event I would want to host surrounded by the names of the fallen, but it is a good place to visit and honor their sacrifice.
