Sayers Dam Beach — Attraction in Howard Township

Be careful of rocks and fish carcasses along the beach. Also, smoking and dogs are NOT allowed on the sand- but Bald Eagle State Park has plenty of trails and roads to walk your dog.

Sayers dam features a large lake swimming area, plenty of parking, a (somewhat maintained) bathroom, numerous nearby pavilions, a playground, lakeside benches, and volleyball courts.

The State Park as a whole has numerous boat launch areas, boat rentals, fishing, hiking, a hotel, a marina, and more (check out their DCMR website for info)

Loved this little beach. It's open with plenty of picnic tables and pavilion. The sand, grass area, and bathrooms were cleaned. Plenty of parking space as well. The one thing I wished I knew was the lake had LOTS of rocks. So it was a bit uncomfortable to swim but I toughed up and enjoyed swimming in the lake. If you have sensitive feet bring water shoes!
