Epic Escape Room — Attraction in Humboldt

I definitely recommend this escape room. My wife and I are seasoned escape room players and have done many rooms in many cities. We nearly always escape (though usually in a group of 4 with two other friends). We did the wizard room on level two (just the two of us) and did not escape--the owner was kind enough to let us "finish" since we were so close but technically didn't escape--it took us maybe 60-90 seconds after time was officially up. It was just a bit too much for the two of us to get in time.

The puzzles in this room were well designed and mostly unique. It was a very "puzzly" and less "searchy" room. The owner/designer clearly has a good head for puzzle design, and I had a ton of fun working my way through the solutions. While the production values may not have been as high as some big chains in major cities, the room was clearly a labor of love with lots of attention to detail. I had a blast the entire time. And no specific spoilers here, but this room had the BEST puzzle padlock I have ever encountered in any room ever. Totally unique and never seen anything like it before.

We absolutely enjoyed our Escape Room experience. It was fun for kids and adults alike. It was so enjoyable, that we are hooked, and will definitely come back for a future room. I was glad we chose the Easier Level 1 because we didn't miss out on any clues, Level 1 was very clever, and I think it was a good starting level even for the adults. I hope this Escape Room continues to get patronage because the owner really cares about your experience, and it's really refreshing to have something creative like this in our area. I had a fantastic time with my wife. We love supporting small businesses, and escape rooms are one of our favorite things to do together. We got out of the magic room with 5 minutes to spare.

The room design was very good, with lots of little locks and cute puzzles. Some were very obvious, some were more of a process puzzle, and some required real lateral thinking.

The experience did feel a little cheap, but it's a small business, and the prices were very reasonable. I hope to see this business grow more, and my wife and I...
