The butterfly house is inside the botanical garden. There is a map to help you find your way around the garden. To get to the butterfly house, you follow a path to the left, around the lake (there are signs along the path to help direct you). The roof is made out of screen so the inside is still affected by the weather. We spotted butterflies hanging from tree leaves, sitting on flowers, and hanging to the screen roof. Participated in the butterfly release event in the Purdy Butterfly House located in the Huntsville Botanical Garden. Each participant is given a butterfly to release after having been given instructions on how to do it carefully.
