Hyrum City Museum — Attraction in Hyrum

The museum is located on the lower level of the city library. The exhibits provide great detail about the history and industry of Hyrum and surrounding local area. There is emphasis on Native Americans, fur trappers, and white pioneer settlers. An exhibit highlighting the military veterans of Hyrum was special. My children enjoyed the scavenger hunt of items throughout the museum. There are a few interactive parts, but it is mostly reading information and looking at artifacts, photographs, and artwork. I was actually thoroughly impressed with this museum. I thought I was going to be a super boring night but it actually turned out to be a really interesting museum. Kind of a little disturbing in some places. But I think it really captured well the essence of the valley and more specifically Hyrum. Okay not really specifically Hyrum. But the valley as a whole yes. Trouble is some of the stuff in the museum it's still being used...
