Canoe Camp in Orofino is a neat park if you know and appreciate its history. Because we do, we could imagine seeing the Nez Perce tribal members sitting down riverside with Lewis & Clark and other expedition members to share food, stories, games and canoe-building expertise. The sight of the dam on the North Fork of the Clearwater River was awe inspiring.

What a great stay to start off our travels! Close to the Lewis & Clarkston river for fishing and lots of hunting areas. Well maintained by the manager Liberty who was friendly. It was hard to leave but we will be back for sure
