Sandy Beach was part of my grandparents dairy farm up till farm closed & my grandmother wanted to insure future generations would be able to enjoy the lake (she always had foresight & fell in love with hauser) so rather than developing or sub deviding the property she donated or sold it to the county for some trivial amount. I still have the contract that states it is to be only a park not for any resale or dwellings/business.
Enjoy the park as it was ment to be enjoyed but please when you visit keep in mind people live at Hauser year around and don't mind guest so, pick up after yourself... Drive the posted speed limits and be respectful. When the park is full & parking is limited if you park anywhere on fire station property your car will be towed. parking along road or in irregular places will get your car ticketed. Dogs need a leash and a potty bag as it is a people park but dogs have a great time here...
