We had the pleasure of attending the Open Air Concert at Ste Chappelle winery in Caldwell, Idaho on June 18, 2023, and it was an absolutely delightful experience. Our VIP table accommodated our family well and provided the perfect setting for our Father's Day celebration.
The table came with a bag of goodies, which was a lovely touch. We were treated to two charcuterie plates that were a true feast for the senses. The mix of crackers, meats, cheeses, fruits, and nuts was incredibly delicious. It was a delightful culinary experience that we thoroughly enjoyed.
Our VIP table also included two bottles of the winery's Pinot Noir and a White Wine Blend. These wines were a delightful addition to our meal and perfectly complemented the flavors of the charcuterie. Additionally, we decided to explore other options and purchased the Chardonnay, Sawtooth Riesling and Chenin Blanc, all of which were exceptional. The quality and craftsmanship of the wines were evident in every sip.
The atmosphere at the Open Air Convert was magical. The air was filled with joy and excitement as guests danced and had a fantastic time. The band, Ft. Diamond Empire Band, delivered a stellar performance that had everyone on their feet. It was a pleasure to witness the dance floor come alive with enthusiastic guests enjoying themselves to the fullest.
The event also featured several vendor booths where we had the opportunity to discover unique items. We had a great time browsing through the offerings and supporting local businesses. The presence of food trucks added to the culinary delights of the evening. We relished Woodfire Pizza, which was incredibly flavorful, and indulged in soft-serve ice cream cones from Sunset Soft Serve. The variety and quality of the food options were exceptional.
During our visit, we also took the time to explore the winery's tasting room and soak in the breathtaking views from the deck. It was a serene and picturesque setting that added to the overall charm of the event.
Overall, the Open Air Convert at Ste Chappelle winery provided an unforgettable experience for our Father's Day celebration. The VIP table, along with the delectable treats and outstanding wines, created a perfect ambiance for our family. The vibrant atmosphere, incredible live music, diverse vendor booths, and mouthwatering food trucks made it an all-encompassing experience. We wholeheartedly recommend attending their winery our outdoor concert series if you have the chance, as it guarantees a delightful blend of wine, entertainment, and an overall...
Read moreThis is not a review for the wine or the view because both are wonderful. This is a review for the incredibly poor customer service displayed at Ste. Chapelle. We invited guests in from out of town to enjoy an afternoon exploring a few wineries in the area. As we knew we were going to be running 10-15 mins late to our 5 pm reservation, we called Ste. Chapelle to let them know we would be tardy, to no answer. With that, we arrived 15 minutes past our time and were greeted with utter rude behavior, particularly by Isaac. With closing at 6 pm, Isaac nor his colleagues would allow us to order a flight nor a cheese tray. We expressed we would be respectful of their 6 o’clock closing and were told no. We strategically waited until 15 past 6 to see if we had arrived on time, would we have been requested to leave. While Isaac didn’t ask us to leave, despite many guests still ordering food and beverages (literally took a photo of a lovely couple with fresh glasses at 6:10 pm), he took selfies around the property and spoke on the phone unprofessionally while cleaning up around guests. It’s a shame that such a beautiful property is being represented by such classlessness. I am appalled we were treated this way. The least they could have done is told us something about our wines, but everything was done with an attitude and a “get out, we’re closing” mentality. I would recommend Ste. Chapelle owners highly reconsider the individuals representing their...
Read moreJust recently I moved back to Boise and did a little wine tasting tour on a Sunday afternoon. Even though I had not been impressed with Ste Chapelle wines in the past I decided to stop by anyways to find out what had changed since my last visit a few years back. When I entered the tasting room I noticed it had been completely renovated, nice! And now has a nice, slick zodiac tasting bar. Even better than the tasting room itself were the wines I tasted, mostly their premium whites and reds. The quality level of these wines were nothing what I had been used to from the past. Tremendous improvement. Great wines. I learned that there is a new wine maker. It sure shows! Keep up the good work. Also the wine samples were better than in other winery I went to that day. At the other wineries they 'spit in your glass twice' and call it a sample... lol. At Ste Chapelle you actually can see your wine sample with the naked eye. Also, before I forget, they added a nice deck outside, which will be great in the summer. A large awning and misters would be great to add in the near future as the deck will transform into a barbecue in the summer. Or, install a trellis and let wine do the shade on the long run. Sunday events with music are overpriced. in the old days they were for free. Either make entry free and leave the wine overpriced or leave the entry charge and reduce the price of wine. Looks like greed is is commonplace...
