Dawson Lake — Attraction in Illinois

The park and lake areas are beautiful and well maintained. It was our first time visiting, and we had no idea it was $3 per person to get to the beach area. While I have zero issues paying to get in there, there was only one small sign on a small hut about 20 feet inside the fence showing that fee. I asked a woman working there if it was cash only, but she mentioned you could only pay by card by going to some website which I could not get to work. So we had to drive all the way back to town to get cash. Didn't ruin our day, but worth noting if you haven't been there before.
