Visited during an event and it was well worth our drive. The home was open for tours and the person giving the tour was a Marbold descendant. She knew a lot of family history and was able to give a very detailed picture of the happenings in the house and the community along with talking about renovations that were made to the home throughout the years. During the event they also had vendor Booth setup selling various items. There were steam engines, tractors, military reenactments and more. Parking was free and the entry fee, which was a fundraiser for house renovation, was very reasonable.    Read moreVisited during the Marbold Heritage Festival. They are doing amazing things to the home, restoring it to its former glory. Several craft vendors and historical displays. Also, reenactments and reenators were there to provide historical information. A display of tractors, trucks, steam equipment, and a wagon pulled by a tractor. There was food, drink and snacks.
