Lots of different options here. There is a playground with tons of green space for picnics and pavilions for parties. There are trails as well that are some of the best in the StL immediate area. The best part is the creek that runs through the southern side of the area. Most of it is only inches deep and the current is very slow. Great for little kids.
On a good, hot day, the creek is going to get very crowded but still highly recommend it. We came on a Sunday morning, hit the creek about 10 and the crowd was light.
