I love this place. Me and my friends catch fish and crawdads up and down the water system. You're not allowed to take anything out so we rereleased them. The water way environment is very healthy though! We caught some young catfish which was super cool! We also caught and released some Gobby and little minos.

The creek is fun to let kids swim. If you pick up almost every 1 out of 4 rocks you observe contains fossils from the Paleozoic Era, way before land mammals. This is when the area was covered in a shallow sea. Believe it or not it was a lot closer to the equator as well. Great recreational and state park.

It's terrible. Stay away. Don't ever take your family to this park. There's way too much to do here and the creek is not enchanting. Really you should not go to mastadon park. You will not want to leave

I was feeling adventurous and wanted to go hiking, so I searched for a new park to explore, and this one caught my eye. I was in the area, so it was the perfect opportunity to check it out.

As I arrived, I realized the park was smaller than I had anticipated, but it had some beautifully paved pathways and fun off-beaten paths to explore. Unfortunately, I missed the entrance due to road construction and ended up at the corner where only authorized vehicles were allowed. Oops, my bad!

If you're a parent looking for a fun and safe place for your kids to play, I highly recommend this park. There's an excellent playground for children to enjoy, and plenty of pa king spaces are available. However, this park might not be for you if you're like me and prefer longer and more challenging hikes. It was more of a walk in the park for me!

Overall, it was a fun experience, and I'm glad I ventured out to this new park. Who knows, maybe next time I'll find...

The museum is interesting and informative. It's not very big, but does an effective job of getting information across.

The hiking trails are rugged in many places, but are well maintained and get a lot of use. They are not long trails either, so are good for family outings with a little bit of challenge. The trail SW of the road is crushed stone path, level and smooth and great for a run. Lots of people with dogs...
