Updated 093021 to review the Attabury DNR office. I wanted to double check that beaver bottom was open for fishing since the last time I was there they had closed it for migrating ducks. As I dialed the number I realized that it was 15 minutes after they closed. I thought I'd talked listen to the recording system to see if there was a message indicating whether or not beaver bottom was open. After the message played it the phone rang and an officer actually answered after hours explained explained how the hunting and fishing occurs around the migrating wildlife. He was friendly he was courteous he was professional he did not seem to be annoyed that he picked up the phone after hours to answer a question. Greatly appreciated outstanding customer service. Thank you Generally a quiet place to fish. Most of the time I am out there with one or two other fisherman. Sometimes there are canoes out there other times there are small boats all using trolling motors

Atterbury Fish and Wildlife Area is a gorgeous corner of Indiana! From its abundance of native flora to the winding waters of Sugar Creek to the woodlands teeming with indigenous fauna, find yourself enjoying little pockets of seemingly untouched Myaamia lands. 10/10, would hike again.

Great public access for fishing and hunting was a beautiful day to take the fly rod out. Unfortunately for me slow day for fishing but the water levels have returned to a level where you can get out on the river. Wish there were more days in the year ro wade the river and fish for sure!

An interesting place. Some beautiful plants and waterways. There was a healthy population of indigo buntings there which is always a delight to see. The area is mostly for fishing, water activities and hunting, not many trails for hiking. However walking around the ponds and wetlands was nice. There were many killdeer and the fishers appeared to be having luck. I didn’t come across any cleared paths or paved trails so not very mobility accessible. Otherwise it seems like a delightful fishing spot or place to visit in the...

Safety is their #1 concern so don't be upset if you are told to go buy a chamber flag and insert it during ceasefire time. I had a new scope and a friend was to bring a laser bore sight to zero it in but he forgot it. One if the RSOs sighted my scope for me. Great group of people the inside too. Very helpful and asked questions to make sure our time was beneficial as...
