Hoosier Horse Park is a great place to show dressage. There are two dressage rings, and a full size makeup ring on a several feet thick crushed limestone base that drains well and provides secure footing even after a summer downpour. Stalls are permanent with wood probably 7 feet or taller on 3 sides with wire fronts. There is a large covered arena with a big outdoor ring next to it and plenty of parking.

Very nice campground. Only negative is it's not full hookups. Water and electric only. Beautiful area and right next to the horse park which usually has events on weekends. Nice playground and basketball courts. Nice clean shower house. Corn hole and lots of space between sites. The folks in the office are super nice and will do almost anything to help!! Absolutely love this campground!

I went to see a bunch of model rockets launched by a local club. I also took a ride on a train at the Indiana Live Steamers. They have a great train layout that is open every third Saturday. Only three bucks! Lots of fun for the whole family.

My family has rented 4 sites for two nights the past three years as a get-together once a year. This year, one of our party brought a full size cargo van as they were in between campers. They were immediately told they had to leave because some archaic rule states they had to have amenities like a camper. They were then told they could stay one night. The evening if the second night they were harassed be the "camp host", host being used loosely, and were rudely told to leave very shortly. They did so thus ruining our last night. Everyone we met here the two days were very nice folks with exception of the "hosts". No one complained about the van which was a very nice rental that was nicer than many of the campers. I think the way this was handled was atrocious, they were kicked out after being allowed to stay one night. They were kicked out and not offered a refund. I hope the hosts see this and have to explain themselves. I encourage Johnson County management to discuss with me, they have my contact information through my past reservations. I do not know the names of the "hosts" but this occurred on 8/23/25. ...

Went here for a the 2024 Solar Eclipse. We had a great time-despite a few snags related to fellow campers. The first night profane music was blaring enough to keep my kids awake-but the next day the very apologetic staff moved our site and gave us a better means of contacting them after hours-the Camp Host was not helpful in the middle of the night. Everyone in the campground probably lost a night of sleep because he wouldn't answer his camper door

But-the offending campers aren't always there so you probably won't have a problem, so let's talk the campground and Park.

Bathrooms: Clean, not very private (bathroom doors are short enough for privacy while sitting, but not standing. Showers were hot and door had a code.

Sites: nice and wide with lots of room to sprawl. We were traveling with family, so they pulled in and we backed in allowing us a big space between us.

There was a RC Course, Disc Golf and lots of geocaches to find. We heard of fishing ponds, but didn't check them out this time. The sites are quite sunny so an awning or...

We camped here for the first time and loved it. The Shields family was the camp host when we were there and they were wonderful. They visited campers and were easy to talk to and available for any questions you might have but never overstayed their welcome. The campground had a fabulous bath house. They had corn hole and we asked if they had any bags and they didn't. It would be great if the camp host had bags for it, but that's about the only thing that they could improve on. It's a great place to camp. We will be...
