my experience was terrible. The people that were there to help us acted like everything was OK and didn’t even feel like they worked there our first room that we went to the hands for the lock was on the microwave and there was no way to get it back on, and the hot water did not run the window did not have a lock so somebody could easily break in our room while we weren’t there and the Fossett had already broke before we got there so then we had to complain and they offered us a new room instead of giving us our money back and we went to our new room And there was no latch at all. There was only the door lock and I woke up to the bed. The sheet came off and the bed had a piss stain, and there was pee all over the bed and blood. The pool was decent but the hot tub was nasty. There was a perverted person That I watched with my friends into the water where the young kids were and stared on top of that we were treated like everything was fine and that this doesn’t happen anytime and when we went down to complain again, nobody was at the welcome desk and somebody continued to ring the bell to get someone to come And it took about 10 minutes for us and I don’t know how long they were waiting, but the breakfast did not get refilled hardly any milk for cereal we were not giving the presidential suite that we paid for my brother my brother paid 500 for a presidential suite thinking we were going to get the presidential suite instead we just got a room that had an annoying fire alarm above and the sprinkler was right over both of our beds where we plugged our phones in and on top of that it smelled it smelled like smoke. The people knew that we were switching our rooms and I feel like they gave us that room because They wanted to blame us for breaking it, but they did not know English and the room that was next to us had a parent yelling at their child to shut up and if not, they beat the child up and we then proceeded to have to move all our stuff to the second floor And the health code is not up-to-date. All the exit signs were broken. One of the doors to the stairway was being held open by a mouse trap. They were showcasing stuff that wasn’t even there or in the area and when we went back to a room to check to see if everything was Fine or OK from the first room they said they were going to clean it and it was still dirty and they did not deactivate the key card and we were able to get into the room but then somebody was already in the room and we had access and they fix the door lock to where we couldn’t get in and nothing is up-to-date. The restroom sink was cracked. I’m pretty sure the hallways had mold and creatures that shouldn’t be in the hotel. There were chairs where breakfast was supposed to be that were in use. The weight room was nice but could not access even with our key cards. A whole bunch of people ate all the breakfast before any of us could the first night and then the second day we were leaving and we were scary because at any point during the night that could be a fight that breaks out And now the hotel price is 50 bucks per night. This will be getting reported the fire department and the health department will be coming down. I hope you know that you’re getting shut down because every guest that we talk to said they had the same complaints. I’m sorry to say, but if you have a hotel, you have to follow the rules you have to inspections the authority

If I could give 0 stars I would. I am embarrassed to have brought my group here. The run-down decor I can handle - I can even find charm in nostalgia. But the lack of cleanliness, unsecured exits/entrances, malfunctioning door locks, and smells of drugs and cigarette smoke yielded my group (of mostly minors) feeling unsafe. I wept when we checked out this morning from the relief of never having to go back inside. It was disgusting, and I feel absolutely “tricked” into staying in what I thought was a Wyndham-endorsed accommodation. Additionally, the staff (if that’s what they were) seemed to live in the hotel with their families and were unavailable for questions or concerns. They acted as if we were an unwelcome pest in their home. For example, when we complained to the front desk (by walking there - no phones were available in the room) about a clogged toilet, instead of sending a maintenance employee, they literally handed me a toilet plunger. It was a repulsive experience. The only redemptive quality, and the reason we booked this hotel, was the indoor pool, which we enjoyed, but felt quite awkward as middle-aged men seemed to loiter around the balcony around the pool, watching the students. The other reason we chose this hotel was the price point - $103 per night when I booked in August. When I revisited the booking website while we were there (to confirm that it was advertised as a nonsmoking hotel), the nightly rate was listed at $55. After staying there two nights, you could not pay ME to stay there again. (I booked through Hotels.com and the hotel was listed as “Travelodge by Wyndham Indianapolis”)

This hotel tries to be way more luxurious than it actually is. Our room smelled like mildew every time we walked in, some of the lights didn’t work, the bottom of the tub was peeling up, and my feet got all dirty from walking around the room barefoot. The pool and hot tub were nice, except there were a bunch of rowdy kids in there that didn’t have any parents watching them. The pool area also didn’t have any towels left, so we walked back to our room wet. We were awoken at 9:45 the next morning by the maintenance guy, who knocked on our door repeatedly even though we had our do not disturb sign hung up outside our door. He ended up just coming into our room after only about 15 seconds of knocking, meanwhile we were just waking up and were appalled by the situation. We called the front desk right after, and the lady just said that she’d make sure it wouldn’t happen again. We mentioned it again after we checked out, and she just said the same thing again. Finally, we paid for a can of Coke from the vending machine in the lobby, and it exploded when the machine dispensed it. We showed the guy at the front desk, and he proceeded to tell us that we could go to the corner store for a drink, rather than offering a replacement. Meanwhile, Mr. Maintenance Guy walked over and offered us a warm Coke. We rejected the offer, took the dripping Coke can from the machine, and accepted our losses.

I love this hotel and anytime I can get this way and need a room this is where I choose to come. It has an indoor pool and hot tub. They have a wonderful breakfast in the morning. Right now they're not serving breakfast though because the kitchen is closed because of the Pandemic scare and all. They still have yet to start serving breakfast again. That disappointed me and then when I went to take a shower this evening the water would not turn on so I could clean up. I called the front desk and she said she would ask the maintenance man if he would look at it but it's technically his day off so he didn't have to. So I asked if he couldn't if she would extend me one night for free for the inconvenience. She said she didn't think she could do that but would switch me rooms if I needed to. Well, the maintenance man did come and check it out and the handle is broken. So he will be putting a work order in but not tonight. So I'm about to go to the front desk to change rooms. Despite these things so far I still love this hotel. The rooms are bigger than any other I've been to and they run cheaper if you look online for deals. Sometimes as low as $38 before tax. Don't get me started on the tax rate for hotels in Indiana though. 18% tax rate on rooms is ridiculous but we have to pay for our beloved Lucas Oil Stadium somehow, right? We all love that place and it brought us the Super Bowl. So, I guess it's small price to pay and usually not something locals have to worry about but every once in awhile we need to use them too. Anyway, I'm gonna go change rooms now and they have been very courteous and nice through the whole process so far and something I thought would turn into a hassle is being taken care of expeditiously and expediently to my wonderful surprise. Just chalk it up as another win for the Waterfront Hotel on the WestSide of town. Anyone thinking about staying here will be pleasantly surprised and rewarded with a wonderful room, wonderful staff, and awesome amenities to boot. The pool and hot tub are a bonus. Right in the middle of the hotel indoors. The rooms are surrounding the pool. I like the lake view rooms but poolside isn't bad. So come stay at the Waterfront Hotel because you will love it. Affordable and spacious with great staff and adult sizes toys on top (with the pool, hot tub, and nice big rooms) it's an awesome place to be. Maybe I'll see ya here in the future. If so feel free to stay hello. I love to strike up a good conversation with anyone. I think the art of good conversation is almost dead. People don't like to talk much anymore and steer clear of any good subjects. They tell you to avoid Politics and Religion and they are 2 of my favorite subjects to talk about. That's how we learn, right? I learn something new everyday from someone new everyday. Mainly because I like to talk to people and am very outgoing. Most people are so scared of each other these days I'm lucky to get a smile and a wave anymore. Waterfront Hotel is my number 1 affordable hotel in Indianapolis and...

After arriving at our hotel, me and my friends immediately noticed how unclean and sketchy the hotel was. The location was dark, very few cars to be seen in the parking lot, and there was broken glass around the parking lot clearly from a window. When questioned about the glass and the frequency of car break ins, the front desk simply brushed it off as broken beer bottles. The glass was clearly not bottles and was found in multiple areas of the lot.

When we went to our hotel room, the door was hard to open and we even needed assistance getting in because the door was stuck. Once opened, the room was a major disappointment. My friend stepped on the tack strip from where the carpet was excessively worn and there were multiple handles missing from the dresser. The bath faucet runs while the shower head is in use, however, the water pressure was so high it could figuratively throw my small friend into the wall. The beds had stains, multiple small spiders could be found around the ceiling of the room, and the blankets on the bed were so thin it provided no warmth or comfort at all. We inspected the window to find out why our room was so cold and realized that the window was partially open. Upon trying to close the window, we realized the window couldn’t be closed and the window pane appeared to be bent in multiple areas as if someone used a crowbar to escape the room.

On one night, My friends and I were woken up by someone trying to get into our room, luckily they stopped. Then after a day of touring Indy, we came back to find the biggest spider we’ve had ever seen inside our room. We killed the spider then celebrated with cold drinks from the vending machines and found most of them didn’t even work. Heading back to our room, we passed a creepy door that was closed with a padlock but bulging as if something was on the other side. At this point in our stay, it gave us serious Walking Dead vibes so we ran back to our room where we found that the door was once again stuck. Then a cheese danish my friend bought from the vending machine gave her food poisoning.

Overall, probably the sketchiest hotel Ive ever stayed in and won’t be back. Everyday there was a new and crazy thing surface from this hotel. My recommendation is to spend the money on a nicer hotel. We got cheap and didnt want to be forced into paying $30/day for valet but regretted it dearly. Free parking isn’t worth catching diseases from being cut on old tack strips or from swimming in the murky waters of the hotel pool. Nor is it worth potentially getting jumped by a gang in front of the...
