I was given a different harness then the rest of my group with no explanation. After going on one of rope challenges i noticed my harness kept making me go backwards, almost upside down. I made it to the last challenge and knew with my harness it would make that last rope challenge almost impossible (i didnât feel safe) There were no instructors around, i asked some people how they got across and they said they just sat and pulled their way over. I started going and immediately my harness wasnât holding me up right even as i tried to correct it the way we were told. I got to the middle and was not safe! I screamed for help and NO instructor was around to help! I kept falling back, i did not know if the harness was meant to keep me in if i went upside down since they didnât address that at the beginning. I then pull my self across, got very bruised and was bleeding. When i went to the office i said i do not believe my harness was on correctly. They said it was but my harness was different ( which i noticed) and that it was up to the instructor to give the harness out they felt was best. Every one else had a âseatedâ harness and i had one they said would make me âflatâ. I asked why i was given no information, no instructions on how to go through the corse with a different harness. They guy said he did not know. They took a picture of my arm, and that was it! Now my arm is very hurt and painful and i wasnât even given an apology! All because i was given a different harness that i should of been told how to manage and go through the corse with. This is...
Read moreI have been to Go Ape in Chicago a bunch of times now, and it's a great course, but I have to say that I liked the Indianapolis course even better! The two courses are admittedly pretty similar (and I give both 5 stars), but Indiana does have an extra mini Tarzan swing; and I could be wrong, but I also felt like their big Tarzan swing (the best part of both courses) had a bit more free fall vs. Chicago's. Also, I like that the Indy course lets the user control both attachments, which allows for (careful) passing mid-course when "needed." Finally big shout-out to the amazing staff: who were all super friendly, attentive, and helpful; and who got me up on the course ASAP; and, knowing that I was on a tight schedule, even helped facilitate me passing ahead of a group which had a member who was being... "indecisive" :P... about his first ever Tarzan swing. Had they not helped me do so, I would not have had time to finish the entire course (in 1 hour) and still make it to my next Indy stop (for some delicious Hoosier pie!) before it closed, so their help with that was very much appreciated and a perfect highlight of the outstanding customer service I enjoyed from start to...
Read moreFirst off this place is a great place for groups and training. I've been sending groups of 10+ for a couple years now and the participants have always enjoyed themselves. That is why it disappoints me to write a negative review in lieu of sending the company an email directly as there didn't seem to be one from their website. The customer service was truly horrible. My group of 15 this past Saturday was late for an unavoidable reason. When they got there, they were turned away and told they would have to reschedule because they were too late. I do not agree with this policy but I get it. That being said when I called back today the person I spoke with to reschedule must have been having a bad day or something because they were rude and defensive. They gave the impression that I was wasting their time. We drop $1200 for a visit and I think the least you could do is not be rude when the customer is trying to reschedule. Also leave out the lecture of being on time for good measure, please. Everyone has bad days but a lecture from someone you are paying a lot of money for a service is really the last thing anyone needs. We have rescheduled but it may be...
